The sad thing is that it is not just the children of the parents who have decided not not vacinate who are at risk. If I had kid I would be getting very angry. These mothers claim that they have the right to make a choice but do they have the right to make a choice that puts other peoples kids at risk?

I just got an email from the biggest mom's anti-vaccines woo woo site out there. I can't believe they still have me on the mailing list after banning me for asking about how a virus could be 'natural to the gut flora".
Measles. Measles can cause encephalitus. Encephalitus can cause autism. These idiots are going to cause the one thing they claim they are trying to prevent. All because they worship the likes of Wakefield (the author of the gut article lancet wrote on) One idiot liar doctor has convinced millions to become irrational.
Well, we'll see what horrible things come of this outbreak, and maybe some people will come to their senses and stop believing there is a mainstream conspiracy to push vaccines and harm kids with them. Such a stupid conspiracy theory. Why are people so irrational? Because of sites like the one I was banned from. Spouting mistruths like a volcano of insanity.
Mistruths like the claim that the polio vaccine did not stop the polio epidemic in any way, but in fact only increased instances of polio. Mistruths like the claims that vaccines are only pushed to make drug companies money.
You can only go onto a site like the mothering site I was banned from to understand why people believe that crap.
Then you can see the woo woo alternatives that are pushed. Then you can see how the woo woos tell parents that they care for their kids-not like the evil drug companies who are out to harm their kids.
I'm only glad I had some microbiology courses and the like to help me see how whack all the woo woos are when they say things like viruses are a 'natural' part of gut flora. Ugh.
