Massive Protests and Resignations in S. Korea...over beef?

Is there any real difference in the beef that would be exported to South Korea from what we would be eating here in the USA? If not, should we be concerned or is this much-ado-about-nothing?

Its politics. South Korea has a very strong protectionist bent when it comes to its agricultural sector. The Beef folk there has a very good spin on things.

I posted in the other thread about this issue. Yes, it is much-ado about nothing. Recipe for massive protests in South Korea:

One nonsensical, sensationalist TV show about Mad Cow Disease + A group of ticked off Leftist politicians + A bunch of high school students who spend too much time on the Internet.

I've actually observed several South Korean protests (from the safety of a tower on a military post). When the wacko pro-North Korean groups start getting involved (and they are starting to act up in these protests), they get very violent. And the poor 20 year-old conscripted Riot Police get to be their punching bags (both physically and in the press through carefully edited videos).
