Gay Marriage Wins At Ballot Box For First Time U.S. History

Voters in Maryland and Maine legalized same-sex marriage by popular vote Tuesday, the first time in U.S. history that gay marriage has been approved at the ballot box.

FANTASTIC NEWS! One of the BIGGEST highlights of last night's election for me, right up there with Obama's win actually. We were watching the marriage equality decisions very closely all night long.

Here in Minnesota we defeated a proposed constitutional ammendment that would permanentlly define marriage as between one man and one woman. This was I believe the first time such an ammendment has been defeated. Same-sex marriage however remains illegal.

Yes. And there's a third initiative in Washington. It looks like they're still counting votes there, but it's ahead so far!

Also, they voted to legalize marijuana.
