Righto - so someone has set up a MySpace site taking a shot at Gravy and wilfully defaming him.

Mark - are you going to take any action to have the site removed? I believe the offender lives in the UK, which will actually make a defamation case much easier for you to make.

invasive of privacy or impersonation of any person/entity; and (m)
Hacking materials or information.
Repeat copyright infringers will have access to InvisionFree
terminated."

These violations have been reported to MySpace and Invision.

In addition, I don't imagine that you have the permission of the person
whose photo you use to represent me. He will no doubt be displeased if
he learns of your site.

I know gay people who have been harassed and even seriously assaulted
by homophobes. If you think homophobia is a laughing matter, you are
dead wrong.

I'm sure you'll do the right thing and remove your offensive site, and
will request that the Loose Change Forum administrators remove your
offensive thread.

Do we have any UK lawyers here at JREF? We have American and Canadian ones, I know, but I'd like to see what a UK one would think.

It's been my understanding that UK libel law is pretty tough. I mean, Liberace successfully sued for libel when someone there just implied he was gay. Think about that, Jackchit. If Liberace can win, Mark Roberts sure as hell can.
 
Canadian law is very similar to British law. I'm sure LashL would know the intricacies related to this.
