Magic sheet on display again!

More like idiot worship.
Science visited, checked the date, reaffirmed it as a fake.
What more is there to do?

I'm sure there are donation jars that have been filled because of this forgery. The RCC loves to scam people for money.

What counts the most is that this shroud... reflects in a clear and precise manner how the gospels describe the passion and death of Jesus

Yeah right. Because you can read that on that sheet. When it only displays a man with abnormally elongated arms.

Maybe we were wrong all along the passion of the christ involved being drawn on a rack : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rack_(torture)

What gets me most about that little quote is the essential circularity in it, even granted its premise- the shroud "reflects" and, therefore, presumably corroborates the accuracy of the gospels at the same time the details in the gospels are used to affirm the authenticity of the Shroud. Of course none of this seems to take into consideration that any decent forger would have been familiar with the gospels and taken care to "reflect" them in his forgery.

As I said in the never-ending Jabba thread, one can either believe in the gosples or the shroud--if one is true, the other must be false (both being false is also possible). The Bible clearly states that the head-cloth was separate from the rest of the wrappings when the empty tomb was discovered (we'll leave aside the confusion as to WHO discovered it). The shroud shows no head-cloth, nor any indication of one.

If you see the jar urinate in it and tell them it is holy water. They will believe you and partake heartily of it that they be blessed and called righteous.

Or tools - I always forget which........:o:o:o:o
