Magic crocodile "antidote"

A cure-all derived from crocodiles? Crocodile Oil?

It's obviously an improvment over Snake Oil. Crocs are bigger, after all.

Give a guy a cart, little mustache, top hat and cane, and put him on a stage. And This is the first thing anyone would expect to come out of his mouth:

"It really is the all inclusive miracle that will kill
all viruses and bacteria your body can throw at it."

The cited doctor is a plastic surgeon...

As usual, a genuinely interesting and valid scientific discovery is perverted for the sake of money-grabbing con-artists.

Seems nothing very fruitful has emerged in recent years, but I guess there are ongoing trials and it is still early days(trials-wise)

This explains the spam e-mail I received a while back, entitled "antidote found in crocodile". I assumed this was one of those nonsensical randomly generated subject lines, but apparently not! Interesting.

Well, maybe not that interesting.
 
WOW! $50 for a single dose that takes 48 hours to become effective, Just enough time for you body to clear up a cold on it's own.

Do we have any biologists here that can explain what would hapen to a peptide if it were ingested, I'm guessing it would be broken up in the digestive system or could it really get into the blood whole?

I think I'm right in saying (I'm not a biologist) that peptides, polypeptides and proteins are all alike but of different sizes.

If you ingest them, they are digested in the stomach. That's why insulin (a peptide) has to be injected.

So yes, I would think that if it was taken orally, then it would be digested in the stomach.

The only time crocodiles suffer from infections is when they become stressed as their health declines. This affects their immune system and they can suddenly become susceptible to common bacteria they would normally shrug off.
