Hard to tell these days, but can anyone help with this? Looks like any other piece of craziness, but The Truths just get weirder and weirder.

Truth #4: There Is Only One True Church And Almost No One Goes To It. Amen.

The ONLY one and true Christian denomination is that of the Duck River Association of Baptist Churches which originated in 1825 from a protest movement within the old Elk River Association of Baptist churches which was not in communion with God's Word as clearly stated in His Holy Bible and therefore in an unrepentant state of APOSTASY. Amen.

All churches outside of the 1825 Duck River Association of Baptist Churches are preaching a LIE and will answer for their lies when Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of God the Father and judges the nations but especially the Elk River Association of Baptist Churches which knows the truth but professes to believe a lie. Amen.

IMHO, a well-done spoof. It almost got me until I started reading the "hate letters". I began to smell a rat... then when I got to the bottom of that page, there was another link to more letters.

Read those... and I became 99.9% certain of it. :)

Incredibly creative, though!!

It may be a spoof, although there are people out there that ARE indeed that crazy.. up to and including writing feed-back letters and even belieivng they cam from others.

As a joke, it is rather tedious, I think. A good parody, but with little message in it. Somebody has too much time on their hands ;).

Thank you! That was just what I needed. Today is my friend's birthday, so I told him I ordered one of those for him--the Performance Art Option of course. :D

I wonder if anyone's formed a church of one member that claims everyone else is going to Hell. Not taking in new members at this time.

In my part of the world (the SouthEastern U.S., aka The Bible Belt), this sort of thing really isn't all that unusual. Despite the fact that many protestant churches are members of such organizations (from the tiny to the enormous, such as the Southern Baptist Convention), individual congregations are almost completely autonomous, in terms of theology, "worship" practices, and, most importantly, finances. Obviously, schism is unavoidable.

Visitors to this area frequently comment to me about the sheer number of churches. Even in the smallest community there will always be more churches than the local population would seem to warrant. I like to point out how often words like "Unified," "True," or "Original" appear in their names -- a sure sign that the church split off from another congregation.

The site in question may well be a joke, but it certainly reflects a very common part of this cultural landscape.

You should check out cafepress.com. You can have whatever put on a shirt for like $10.

(This isn't an ad or anything... but if I'm violating the rules, someone holler at me)

$10 is no use to me. I only have $3 left over from my last trip to the States.

(Thanks anyway!)

Paypal is your friend! (I don't know if they ship across the pond, however)
