So, I was watching the History Channel's Monster Quest show on Alligators in NYC.
No sane person could actually make all of the statements that he made in the episode.
1st he claims that NYC covers up the "fact" that there is a breeding population of alligators in the NYC sewers. This is a huge insult to NYC, which gave MQ permission to explore the sewers, helped them explore the sewers, and let them interview people who work everyday in the sewers for years. Does that sound like NYC is real clandestine and horrible on this issue? Coleman's evidence of NYC covering it up is.......Urban legends!?!?!?!?! Great source Coleman, you can't even pull a specific person out that will say I know NYC is covering it up.
2nd he claims that a person once saw a dead alligator as something taken out of the sewer on display.... Wow, great evidence again Coleman...you can't even reference a single specific person for the evidence, and even if this is a true story, it makes sense that at some point in time in the country's biggest city that someone would flush an alligator down the sewer when it got too big. That doesn't mean that A) Alligators can live down there for extended periods of time or B) There is a breeding population of alligators down there.
3rd he claims Alligators in NYC could have a huge population explosion any minute and they would start attacking and even eating humans. So Coleman can't produce one shred of reliable evidence that they even exist down there, yet he is willing to try and scare the public with the threat of their lives in order to gain more attention for himself? Pretty irresponsible.
Using Loren Coleman further diminishes this shows credibility.
Oh, and after all of the searching and interviews of people who have worked in the sewers for years -- ZERO alligators.
