I'm Steve Bauer, 54-year-old retired lawyer from Portland, OR. I have a 2-queen-bed non-smoking room Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Looking for up to 3 roommates. I request that my roomies stay reasonably sober and not steal towels, or bust furniture. (I am not looking to play resident advisor, but if you haven't gotten your college-party-animal self under control, go steal towels and bust furniture in another room.) Best way to reach me is reply to steveb@e-z.net, as I don't check the forum very often. I arrive early Thursday, check in ASAP and will be ready to pass keys out soon as the room is available for occupancy. BONUS: I usually go to the show in the lounge and scoop up a handful of ticket stubs, each good for one free drink at any of the hotel bars. Glad to pass those out, too! Room was about $360, and I'll split that cost evenly with whoever wants to room with me. I have attended every single TAM, know the drill, and am looking forward to TAM X!!

Hey. I have a room reserved at the Southpoint. I reserved it durring a sale way back in January, on spec. (It was very iffy that I would make it, and I'm still trying to raise enough money to go. But my registration and airfare have been taken care of.) It has two queen sized beds in anticipation of needing a roommate. So I'm now putting it out there.

It's in non-smoking, even though I'm a smoker. I'm not in the room much at any TAM so I can live with that. I'm 62, male, and I have been told that I snore. (I've never actually heard me snore and it might be a vicious lie! But probably not...) The room total is $352.80. It's from Wednesday through Sunday with checkout on Monday. I'm hoping to get someone who needs it all of those nights so I can maximize my savings. My roomies cost will be $176.00. Last year that paid for my non-TAM food and other things. So it worked out great for me. And my roommate seemed happy enough with the room share.

If you are interested, please PM me. Thanks!

How many threads are you going to start about the same topic?

We really don't need to hear the same details 100 times.

Yeah. That's why I picked an old thread. It's my fault that this was bumped to the top. I didn't want to start a new thread.

Now I see another more general thread. So I guess I'll post my request there. Of course, that will result in a multipap post, but it might remove some of the confusion. :P

Update from the original poster: I now have one roomie, who happens to be a cousin of mine, so as things stand, room cost between the two of us is now only $167.50 for the three nights (Thur./Fri./Sat.) we'll be together in Vegas. The next roomie to come on board will drive the price down to $112 apiece for those nights! If you're interested, do get back to me as soon as possible, as I'll be in and out of touch with the Forum and my computer access between now and the start of TAM X. First come, first served, and all that. I really will try to reply to all messages sent to and received by me. skyhar8000
