Looking for a cell phone

I'm looking to buy a cell phone wich 1) weighs below 100gr, preferably below 90g, 2) has a long-lasting battery (compared to the other modern cell-phones) and 3) has a video-camera. So far so good, only I want some other capabilities that I can't usually check them on most phone specifications:

4) I want ability to shoot continuous videoclips of at least 10 mins. Most cell phones that have videocameras are limited to continuous clips of 3 min, even when the available memory allows for a greater duration.

5) I want to be able to download those clips to the PC (via cable or bluetooth) and, equally important, to be able to upload clips to the cell phone - not necessarily those clips that were shot with the phone itself. So it must be able to play back a common video format, one that I can encode video files in on my PC.

Video-clip quality is not that important.

So if you have or know of a phone with the above capabilities please let me know :)

Get one with an upgradeable memory. Nothing sucks more than taking pictures of stuff and the phone becomes stuffed.

The Nokia N70 http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/nokia-n70.htm is good but I am not sure on the weight. I have a Sony Ericisson V600i, one without an upgradeable memory. http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/sony-ericsson-v600i.htm It's all bluetooth, 3G and I can watch TV on it, if I chose to, what is more I can use it easy. :D

Apart form the lack of upgradeable memory I can't fault the phone. It does what it claims and the built in radio is fantastic. My battery lasts for ages but I am not a heavy phone user, so how it fairs under those conditions I do not know.

I am about to sell mine as the lack of a decent memory is beginning to annoy me. I am looking at either the N70, 6630 http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/nokia-6630.htm, Sony Ericsson W810i or a Medion MDSP150 Sat Nav Smartphone. Probably the Sony again, its the music features I like. Beats carrying around those ipod things and a phone. One phone does it all.

I have the Sony Ericsson v600i as well, and it does everything I want of it and more. However the recorded picture quality (video and camera) is nothing to write home about, despite it being 1.2 Mpix. I suspect it is the quality of the lens more than anything.

CC: What price your phone when you sell it? I MAY be interested in it! PM coming...

CC, the N70 is too heavy for me at 126gr.

I've been looking into this a little more and it looks like there are a few models that fulfill my criteria, yet there are a few problems with each.

Samsung D600 is light (90gr) and can record and playback mpeg-4 videos in good resolution, their duration limited only by the available memory. However it has very low battery life. Besides, it is considered to be a pilot model for a better quality phone that will be out in late summer.

SE K750i and Motorola SLVR are also light and have decent battery life, but low video resolution and use the less practical 3gp format.

Received Zep.

El greco, read all you can and find any sites that 'bad mouth' the phones, you learn a lot from them.

Universal tools are not a substitute for individual tools, except in the cases where space or weight constraints keep you from having more than one tool. If you have a tool with two functions, each will be poorer than a single-function tool.

A cell-phone is a cell-phone, and a video cam is a video cam. Why somebody would want ot put them in one box, and on top of it expect it to weigh nothing and be very small is beyond me.

I often want to be able to record dance figures without having to carry a separate camera just to capture a new step or a combination in a show. I also want to be able to show a downloaded video to dance partners, at places where it would be completely impractical to carry a camera or a DVD with me. The fact that there already are cell phones which weigh <100gr and can record & playback mpeg4 video at resolutions more than adequate for my needs (e.g. 352x288) entitles me to research the market for such phones.

Why somebody would want ot put them in one box, and on top of it expect it to weigh nothing and be very small is beyond me.

I hope it's not so far beyond you now.
