Local Talk Show Format Changed to "Advertainment"

Next spring, KARE, Channel 11, will revamp its chatty mid-morning talk show "Today," and put much of that happy talk up for sale.

Advertisers will pay $2,000 to $2,500 for 5-minute segments on the show, to be rechristened "Showcase Minnesota" when it launches March 27...

This made me think of the Limbaugh Web site / "Sponsor a Troop" thread.

I'm guessing opinions on this will range from congratulations to condemnations.

I personally have little good to say about the decision-makers involved, but I don't want the government to shut 'em down either.
