Mmmm - mini livers.
 
But by using the mini-livers we have developed there is no need to test on animals or humans.

Um. That seems a wee bit overconfident. Wouldn't you still want to test on humans (and likely animals before that) to see how it affects the rest of the body, even if it's all good on the mini-liver?
 
The main point is that Stem Cells are now a verifiable source for this type of medicine...it may be a while off before we can grow other organs, or even full size ones..but it appears it is possible!!!

This is the next hundred years of medicine!!!
 
Now I can finally be the alcoholic I've always dreamed of being! First freeze dried Ice Cream, now this? Thank you NASA!

From a related article referenced on the same page:

These are not embrionic stem cells.

Because it ought to be done in the US and Bush ought to have a disease other than stupidity that needed a cure only available from stem cell research. A wholes need to be kept away from science so science can get done .
