Linux and its critics and ennemies

Friend of mine got upset about what this site says about Linux. I've got a feeling it may be parody, although some of what's on the rest of the site looks more cranky than parodic, and I've heard accusations about Linux being satanic, anti-american, communist, etc before ...

What to think about it ? (I'd like to prevent my friend from getting a heart attack and/or fuelling his inherent distrust of Americans - he's British, living in Switzerland).

The site looks to me like a parody of cranky right-wingnuttery, sort of a political and less subtle version of Landover Baptist.

That was my first reaction until I started reading more. I still think it's a parody (I've asked the question in Religion & Philosophy too), although I've still got doubts ...

You are not the only one, and for good reason. There is something very peculiar going on: the makers of that site are trying to hide the fact that they have openly admitted that it is satire. Read all about it on the Wikipedia talk page.

There's only two possibilities when it comes to Shelly:

1) It's all a joke
2) Shelly is in competition for the position of most ignorant buffoon ever.

Either way, it's perfectly acceptable to dismiss everything "she" says. It is nearly ALL wrong. It's not even worth responding to. (See: Date's Incoherence Principle)

It's quite obvious to me, that this site is a big joke. It looks like someone has collected most of the "linux is communist/antiamerican/satanist/hurts fluffy puppies" jokes and worked them into one article. Quite skillfully I must say.
