I read the following Vancouver Sun article- .vancouversun.com/news/Father+voice+stress+analysis+received+after+hours+Bible+study+strip+mall/4440132/story.html
-on the "father" of the Voice Stress Analysis Machine with great interest and concern. I brings to mind last years idiocy with James McCormick of ATSC fame (dowsing rod bomb detectors).
But the seeming widespread use of the devices indicated in the article throughout the United States and Canada is just as sickening to me as phoney bomb detectors. People's lived are forever altered by this stupid device, if not ruined, because nobody bothered to check the facts. The really alarming thing is that this stupidity is not going to be abandonned any time soon by the police. After all, have any of you ever heard a police officer admit to making a mistake, let alone volountarily taking steps to correct it?
