For those of you who don't know Richard Roeper is "the other guy" on Ebert and Roeper as well as a humor columnist for the Chicago Suntimes and an author of several books on movies and urban legends.

Here's his latest column, for your consideration:

10. After Hurricane Katrina, the media deliberately under-reported scores of murders and rapes at the Superdome.
But hey, if you want to talk me out of any of the above, the e-mail is rroeper@suntimes.com.

 Roeper is a shill for the airlines. His recommendation to uphold an FCC restriction on cell phone use in the skies is a viral message, a misdirection, meant to endorse and encourage the use of the Airphones on airliners, and thus increase corporate profits. :p

Hey, this one is true. The Seahawks got screwed in the Super Bowl last year! :duck:

He's going to regret writing that.

Well when the psychotic branch of the trooth movement went after Danny Bonaduce they targeted his 12 year old daughter like the cowards they are.

Merc made threats towards my 9 year old son but failed to take me up on my offer to meet him face to face.

The "C" in CT should stand for coward.

This one is true to. Rumour has it, it is John Kerry's hand up his back making the mouth move in times with the words comming out

OMG, that's the funniest thing I've seen it a while. It should be a scene in a movie.

Who the hell was that guy? And what the hell was he doing bothering the middle-aged Danny Partridge about 9/11 for? Who cares what a 50-year-old child star who won't get off the TV half a century later thinks about it? Ridiculous.

Then again, if the twoofers let scholars like Charlie Sheen in...

It's because the truthers love the Cult of Personality. For them, 1 celebrity is worth 100 structural engineers.

They have Rosie and Charlie and Alex Jones, while the truth has... well, everyone else.

plus when the celebs lose popularity because they are spouting insane nonsense they can claim thats why the real experts arent talking

Cult of Personality?! It's the 50-year-old Danny Partridge!

Don't get me wrong, he's a great guy and he's funny and instantly likable and extremely charming and his reaction to finding himself starring in that wackjob's video is absolutely priceless...but he's Danny Bonaduce!

Who are they gonna try next, Richard Little?

Not at all. Columnists whose inboxes are exploding at the seams can point to that as evidence of a large following and use it as leverage for more money.

Ah, so that's why the Leafs haven't won the Stanley Cup since 1967!

All this time I thought we just sucked.

Welcome DRIVINWEST.
Munich? Oliver will be over later to get you your NWO uniform and teach you the secret handshake.

German? Or expatriated other?
(Just curious... we've heard that there are a lot of small Troofer movements in Europe, and it's nice to see debunkers coming from "the Continent".)
