Friday's show (October 20, 2006)

The Rev. Jesse Jackson. From civil rights and politics to surviving scandal. He talks to Larry and takes your calls. Tune in on tonight at 9 p.m. ET.

E-mail your questions for The Rev. Jesse Jackson
Here are my questions for Jesse;

  • Some say you use your position as a "civil rights leader" to blackmail large corporations with claims of discrimination. For instance, Anheuser-Busch, oil giant BP, Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc., GE, Credit Suisse, Texaco, Ford, Coca Cola, etc. Are these critics lying?
  • Like you I am a civil rights activist, but I can never seem to always travel first class, wear designer suits and also pay my mistress $3000 a month in child support. What's your secret?
  • When you had "relations" with Karin Stanford - who eventually had your illegitimate baby - how did that conflict with your advocacy of the gospel?
  • In 1984 an FEC audit found your campaign underreported its receipts by $826,000 and its expenditures by more than $1 million. In 2001 the IRS filed a complaint against your Citizenship Education Fund for violations of the tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. What's your stance on exposing and punishing corporate corruption?
  • Was Rev. Abernathy lying?

It still really bugs me that they had that one guy on on Monday. I don't even want to say his name, but it is three four-letter words.

Jesse Jackson is one of those guys I wish would just retire to a private life and go away. He wore out his use a long time ago. He has turned himself and what he claims to represent into a mockery.

I don't know, but from what I've read about Rev. Abernathy, he was ten times as sleezy as Jesse Jackson.

How do you think Jesse Jackson stacks up compared to Martin Luther King Jr. in terms of private morality?
