I think it's great that Kirstie Alley helped out the tornado victims, but did she have to wear that shirt?

"We got evacuated," she said wearing a yellow Scientology Volunteer Ministry T-shirt.

Even better than the classic "I'm with stupid -->" shirt!!!

This one just says "I am stupid."

"Hi, I'm here from the Church of Scientology. We're sorry that your home and town were completely wiped out. Would you like a free personality test to see how happy you are?"

Oh great, so the Co$ shows up to point at people again. What great help they are.

I don't get it. Are you saying that becuase of their beliefs, even though she is helping out she is not really helping?

I read it. Looks like she did this off her own bat, with her own money, whilst wearing a scientology T-shirt.

No-one said scientologists couldn't be nice people. It's just their "church" that's a dangerous money-grabbing, life-destroying cult based on the ravings of a failed science fiction author.

I'll give her credit for doing it with her own money. The co$ shirt was a bit of a tacky touch, but whatever.......

It looks like she was actually helping as opposed to what Co$ people usually do when they show up at disasters. They do "assists" and there are different types, one of which involves pointing at things. Now, imagine you a person who has lost your home in a disaster, well someone coming and pointing is not going to be an awful lot of help to you.

I am quite sure they as individuals are capable of helping if they think on their own, however if they come as a Co$ group, help is not what they are really there for, recruiting is and thinking on their own is not involved.

A friend of mine from church said KA was wearing flip-flops in a tornado damage area. I thought Co$ was supposed to make you a higher being?

Kore

There are a number super powers once you get high enough (read: pay enough) in Scientology, yes. Freedom from illness, photographic memory, the ability to control matter, energy, space, and time, controlling others from a distance, and the ability to create illusions are among them.

Common sense, however, is notably absent.
