John Kerry is out promising to create 10 million jobs. Sounds good? How do you think a president creates jobs short of hiring more goverment employees? That's right. Its pure BS.

The sad thing is, all of these politicians do it. Didn't Bush promise to create 2.6 million jobs last quarter?

Next time you hear a politician promise to create jobs, send the libertarian party a contribution. You may not agree with them 100 percent but if they can just pull the agenda slightly their way we would be in much better shape.

Didn´t Kerry say he wanted to expand the size of your armed forces?
Maybe that´s were the jobs will come from...

My guess is 10 million tax collectors...... (yes, thats an unfair Kerry bash based on a GOP stereotype)

Clinton created over 20 million jobs over 8 years. So 10 million over 4 years is doable, but very difficult to accomplish. I think Kerry is probably full of ◊◊◊◊.

Roger Altman (Kerry's economic advisor) is on Special Report right now. This guy is a windbag. He claims Kerry will have job growth as it was during the tech bubble. He seems to think the tech bubble was a Clinton era policy.

Then this guy started with the "since Herbert Hoover" talking points.

Basically, the 10 million is just like a chicken in every pot. Its campaign nonsense.

I expect Bush to counter by promising eleventy billion new jobs.

Nah. Bush will promise to kill 10 million terrorists.

Private industry created those jobs, and Clinton to his credit mostly stayed out of the way.

In short, he acted like a Republican.

Presidents don't have as much power over the economy as you seem to think they do.

I agree that Kerry is full of sh**, but as has been said, it is doable, provided he's smart enough to get taxes and regulation lowered. My guess is that it's not gonna happen: he wants to close loopholes that allow businesses to relocate overseas.

It's that sort of thing that makes Bush look good.

I'm not at all for closing those 'loopholes', but it seems to me that if we did, it could create (at least in the short term) more jobs in the US?

On a totally unserious side: Making the illegal Mexicans legal would 'create' a couple million jobs in seconds, making the burger flippers 'manufacturing' would do wonder to those statistics. :p

You know, I heard about Bush's plan to do that, and just about freaked. Who was the idiot that thought that was a good idea!?!?!

I realize working in a bureacracy creates some strange ideas, but this one had to have come from someone in the funny farm, probably that strange uncle no one wants to talk about. (Just one of those things...)

I have no idea who proposed it, but it wasn't anyone on Kerry's side of the fence. :p On the other hand, Ed knows what's going to happen if he gets into the position .....
