JVP disgusts me

I just watched an episode of "Beyond" with James Van Praagh.

Holy F^*&^ing sh*&(*t.

Not only does he know beforehand why the person is there, he actively, ACTIVELY uses their knowledge as a stage for his bullsh*t.

One example: a woman whose fiance, days before their marriage, inexplicably walked onto a busy highway and was killed. She, of course, wants to know why.

Now, JVP knows why she's there and who she wants to see. So what does he do?

JVP: he's right behind you, I can see him. This was a sudden thing, right?

JVP: He feels guilty, guilty about something...

JVP: He went to a church before he did this, right?

I'm thoroughly disgusted with this man, and I hope he gets exactly what he deserves, if not in this life then in the next. If there is one.

For some reason, the 1:30 to 3:00pm timeslot here gets filled with the made for cable TV crap which even the US doesn't want. For about 3 months JVP occupied a 2pm timeslot 5 days per week on free to air here. I'd rather watch repeats of The Nanny 5 nights per week in prime time (which happens every non-ratings season anyway) than ever watch another JVP or JE programme.

Yeah but you know, like JE, he does this for entertainment purposes .... he doesn't wish to harm anybody....

It's just so "entertaining" watching them do missing persons specials...

Whatever happened to the days when readings were confined to "you're going to meet a tall, dark, handsome stranger", or "you are going to find your purpose in the near future"?

Why do none of these contacted spirits have anything really nasty to say about the person who is having the reading? Why does the person who is being read never say "what a lot of crap that he wants me to know that he's at peace and with grandad - grandad was a spiteful old man who belted the daylights out of him"?

Even if the JEs and JVPs of this world only gave innocuous, non-commital "comfort" readings, the sheer amount of money which they charge for giving comfort which could be gained elsewhere for little cost or free of charge makes me sometimes wish that there was an afterlife in which they would be called to account for their actions.

Out-competed by the Fortune Cookie industry?

I said the same thing the first time I saw that mutant's face. Tragically, it was on the back of a book my mother was reading. :*(
