Anyone else catch this on Sci-Fi last night? Methodology seemed a bit slipshod, but Gates was entertaining. He reminded me of Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs. Is this series going to turn in to another Ghost Hunters and/or Sci-Fi Investigates?

The first couple of episodes are available online, which is where I watched it. Unfortunately this is Sci-Fi capitalizing on the popularity of the Ghost Hunters by making a nearly identical show, complete with bad camera work and lots of bleeped expletives of surprise. It's like "Cops" for crytozoologists.

The host's credentials include a couple of bit parts in made for TV movies on the USA network (which owns Sci-Fi) and a failed reality show also on USA called Beg Borrow and Deal. Dirty Jobs does contain facts and science, and even monkeys, which makes it far superior in my opinion. I didn't see much fact OR science on Destination Truth, even the background of it's actor/host is questionable.
