Well, they say its going to snow but I say it wont.

It will not snow in London
Its far too damned afraid
Of snowing on the Regent's park
And on Horse Guard's Parade.

It has been snowing in Washington, DC (where I live) for a few days, so, in reply to your nicely worded poem, I offer these lines (partisan they are, I admit, but I can't help it):

It's snowing in the nation's capital
A modern-day urban Currier and Ives scene
Cold outside, stay in by the fire and dream of spring
When we can hope for a Bush replaced by a Dean
