John Kerry should try his luck in a casino

He should totally drift over to the roulette wheel and like totally put all of his money on red. You know what I mean? Like totally.

That way, at least he would have a chance.

Nonetheless, even with those boosts, Bush's lead over Democrat John Kerry, 48% to 46%, is within the poll's error margin of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points, suggesting the race is virtually tied, although Bush might be slightly ahead.

Last month, Kerry led Bush by a more comfortable 50% to 45%. Bush made his largest recent gains among women.

I'd say his chances are a bit better than a roll on the roulette wheel

Considering all the bad press and bad news plaguing the Bush administration lately, and the fact that Kerry has had a free ride and all the camera time the challenger gets, I would think that the slim lead Kerry holds would concern the democrats. He should be ahead by 20 points after the last 2 months.

I don't think Bush is going to win it so much as Kerry is going to lose it.

I, too, think Kerry is going to lose. Things can't get that much worse for Bush and yet even with all that has gone on the polls say the race is about even. Kerry just doesn't have any charisma on TV and whether you like it or not, that counts in voters minds. It's not like GWB is loaded with charisma, but he's got more than Kerry or charisma-challenged Gore.

I know this is highly subjective, but when you think about it, the last time that the candidate with less chariisma won the election was 1972. That's seven in a row for the more charismatic guy and 2004 will make it eight IMO.
