Jessica Lynch was not raped
In "I Am a Soldier, Too: The Jessica Lynch Story" published on Tuesday, author Rick Bragg says her medical records indicated Lynch, who was evacuated by helicopter from a Nassiriya hospital in a U.S. commando raid widely publicized throughout the world, had been raped.

"Jessi's body armor and her bloody uniform were found in a house near the ambush site, the place that some military intelligence sources said she was taken to be tortured....

Dr. Jamal Kadhim Shwail was the first doctor to examine Lynch when she was brought to Nassiriya's military hospital by Iraqi special police. Shwail said Lynch was lying in hospital reception, unconscious and in shock from blood loss.

She was wearing her uniform including a flak jacket, military trousers and boots, none of her clothes had been unbuttoned or removed, as the book claims, he said.
This story just keeps getting weirder. First, the US military portrays her as a Ramboette. This is subsequently denied by Jessica. Then in her own book it is declared that she was raped. Which is subsequently denied by the doctors who she praises in the same book.

Curiouser and curiouser...

To me the whole idea that they took this injured girl and anally raped her while she was unconcious just does not make any bit of sense to me.

I totally don't buy it.

If I'm faced with some mangled injured unconcious foreign solder, and I'm a Muslim to boot, I'm not going to be thinking "I 'm gonna put it in her butt!"

I just don't see it happening.

How are they claming to know of rape? Are they saying there was damage to the area? Maybe it was part of the accident, maybe she had anal sex earlier that day willing wiht a soldier, etc..

There is no criminal court here to try her rapists. However, I thought she was sexually assaulted in some fashion from the getgo when I heard she "couldnt remember" what happened after she was taken.

Malachi, you are a sad and pathetic individual in that you hate your country so much that you look to side with its enemies at every chance.

This is just absurd.
I have no idea whether she was raped or not and am not venturing a guess.

However, for you to think that you know what these people would or would not do is either a case of your extreme egocenticness (If I wouldn't, they wouldn't) or your naiveity.

BTW,
If you think Muslims are less likely to rape, maybe you should ask the women of Bangladesh when many of them were declared "Kafir" by Pakistan in the 70s.

Well, apparently the Dr. that cared for her is an idiot too:

Lynch's wounds were so bad a sexual assault would have killed her, he said. "If she had been raped there is no way she could have survived it. She was fighting for her life, her body was broken. What sort of an animal would even think of that?"

Of course, he is probably just lying.... because he is really an evil Iraqi enemy villan... correct???

I guess when you buy into the idea that people from other cultures are "subhuman" these ideas are normal to have....

That's harsh. With all the hype and misinformation surrounding the Jessica Lynch story, it's not surprising there'd be skepticism about this allegation, especially when the doctors accounts differ so markedly with those in the book. Dressed...undressed?

Jessi's body armor and her bloody uniform were found in a house near the ambush site, the place that some military intelligence sources said she was taken to be tortured....

Or...

She was wearing her uniform including a flak jacket, military trousers and boots, none of her clothes had been unbuttoned or removed, as the book claims, he said.

Confusing.
