Yes it's come to this. Given things I've heard him say, including this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sm2weLS5gJ4 he has the best combination of intelligence, policy positions, and experience of anyone in the race currently. It sounds like genius when you hear someone merely saying true mostly obvious things rather hysterical magical thinking in mass media, like as Ventura says that it's impossible for a country to be made safe from terrorism as the sniper attacks and completely predictable Katrina showed.

I like it because the man has an obvious background. Everyone knows who he is and where he comes from. I think he honest and i see it as a good thing if he runs.

I dont know his positions as of yet but i always like it when you know the man has history and doesnt seem sneaky.
 
Ventura is into "questioning the official 9/11 story". This is a Twoofer video but the words of Jesse Ventura are his words.
 
Jesse is from the carnie days of pro-wrestling. I always suspect he considers politics just another angle to work.

But he goes on to say this in that video which places him enough out of the twoofer category for my liking:

"In light of the fact that there was a cover up that got us into the Vietnam war and there was in my opinion a cover up of John Kennedy's assasination I would just say that I don't believe it's beyond reason to not at least consider that the government certainly would do things like that."
 
Jesse has governorship experience and isn't in need of Depends.

He is overqualified for the 2008 election.
