Jeb Bush on Colbert Late Night, and anything else Jeb

There isn't a Colbert thread yet (that I could find) and there aren't any Jeb threads except the Jeb v Trump thread.

Loved Colbert's first show ... but I digress.

The most telling statement in the Jeb interview was his trying to say he thought Obama was sincere but Jeb didn't agree with Obama's policies. It flopped given Colbert's audience and it got worse when Colbert jumped on it with a great joke about Jeb almost having the audience with the first half of the sentence.

Jeb appears to think he's going to be a uniter not a divider, a compassionate conservative. It did not play well.

The local TV station showed a clip this morning supposedly from Colbert's show with Bush mocking Trump, or something. Then we watched Colbert from the DVR and that wasn't on it.
I found both the Bush and Clooney interviews painfully awkward. Not a great choice of guests for the first show.

The Clooney interview was a big fail.

As for mocking Trump, Colbert had a whole segment mocking Trump. Perhaps the news confused something?

Yes it was, just saw the clip on the news.

Colbert had Bush read the imaginary Trump answer for what to do about the wall on the southern border.

The show ran long and they cut the mocking part, among others. But it is on the show's web site.

Jeb came off pretty good, but then I don't have a rabid hatred off all things conservative. The next night Colbert spoke kind of him! The audience was tame towards him as well! Certainly wasn't bad for Jeb!

Holy CRAP! Did anyone watch Joe Biden on Colbert last Night?
I pray HRC goes on there! She would show what a shallow schiester she is, compared to a real human being! WOW!

And anything else Jeb!:

Like his referring to the Soviet Union in his battle with Trump over Trump's lack of knowledge about foreign policy. :D

Just in case anyone is still interested in Jeb, here is some very interesting news about him.

Even though he has thrown large volumes of money out of the door, his poll showings are still rather poor so Jeb is cutting costs in order to keep his campaign going for a while longer.

Jeb Bush slashes pay, spending as campaign struggles

Jeb Bush on Friday ordered a wholesale restructuring of his struggling campaign after suffering miserably in the polls despite massive spending and a deep donor network.

The campaign will cut payroll costs by 40 percent, downsize its Miami headquarters by more than 50 percent, reduce travel costs by 20 percent and cut 45 percent of spending on things other than media and voter contact.

“These donors are not finding these explanations by the Bush team believable," said one bundler, speaking on the condition of anonymity. "There’s a lot of frustration that a lot of money’s been spent and it hasn’t moved anything."

As for me, I never thought that I would see the day when someone from the Bush family would actually have to cut back on his spending in order to get something that he really wants.

Poor hapless JEB! He calls Trump a jerk, and in the next sentence says that you can't insult your way to the presidency. Plus "jerk" is awfully weak, and a little bit of flag-wrapping can't hurt. Maybe something along these lines: Never mind that Trump's a jerk. Worse than that, he's unhinged, and he's dangerous for America.

Not a bad tactic for him at this point really.

Jeb was hell for Florida and affected my work in so many bad ways so, if he dies in a flaming car wreck I will not feel any upset at all. Most of the other republicker candidates may feel free to do likewise. I have no concern either way for the ineffective twit ones.
