Hello all,

I just got back from Jamy's Card Clinic with Roberto Giobbi and special guest Howard Schwartzman (who has the smallest hands I've ever seen.) Richard Kauffman (editor of Genii) was there as well.

It was an incredible weekend. There were only 14 of us, so we got lots of attention from the masters. We also got exclusive looks at effects that no one has published yet, including a very interesting one with a mismatched set of ragged cards.

I left with the sense that I have a LOT of work to do.

Anyway, if you ever get the chance, you should attend one. Jamy thinks the next ones will be in NYC. If you're serious about magic, they're well worth the price.

Jamy is one mean magician. I will never forget the stunts he pulled at TAM2. He managed to cheat a big bunch of skeptics up front and personal.

Sod it, he's good!

Let's pray to Ed that he will never go to the dark side, because if he does, he will be the biggest ever.

I knew that before going to the clinic, and now I have even more respect for the man's skills. Even though I now know how most of the "tricks" are "done," I find it hard to believe that a mere mortal can achieve such a level of skill.

But it's a credit to the species that one can.

HE did a card trick for me at TAM2 and I would totally have joined his cult if he had one.

Brown tried to gently explain some of it to me, because I was sure I had just seen the impossible. I kept saying, "but how did he know what card I was going to pick! He said choose any card!"

My brain still can't work around how he did it, even after all this time.

I have to say, I'm the BEST audience any magician can have. I know it's a trick, but I LOVE to be tricked! I love magic!

And, he said in a teasing manner, Jamie will be doing a small workshop Saturday evening at TAM4... details to come!

I have a feeling it won't be "small" at all...

Hi, Gang.

My first post here.

I also attended the Clinic with Jeff (Hi, Mom! :D ) under my *real* name. I'll echo Jeff's sentiments that I have much work to be done - even though I've already put lots of work in.

I believe that Jamy mentioned there may be a Card Clinic II in the future. This would be geared toward previous attendees who would like to expand their education. That would be me. Also, future clinics will alternate between NYC and Vegas.

Best money I've ever spent on sleight of hand.

Dinsdale!

Mom. Sigh.

Ya know, I told my family that story, and my wife said: "That's great! Now whenever the kids call ' Mooooom!!!" they'll be asking for you."

But I know it could have been worse. Much worse.

:)
