Its ok to say Queer in school

It really depends on context for me. I don't mind my friends referring to me as queer, but I would be somewhat offended by it from somebody who did not know me.

Hell, one of my friends typically greets me with 'Hey, Fairy.'

I guess terms like that, which are mildly insulting are acceptable in a friendly context, where you know it is meant teasingly, not maliciously.

And after there has been a hit show titled 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy' it comes across as bit touchy to take too much offense

I just wish Lil Suzy's teacher would do something with her hair.

And frankly, Lil Suzy comes across as kind of a dick in this one. Lighten up, Suze.

And here is one of my most hated lies propogated by people like Jack Chick:

"Now we can't even HAVE a Bible, or talk about Jesus in school"

WRONG. And this is a lie that really gets my goat. I went to high school at an uber liberal, gay tolerant, public high school. At the time I was Catholic, and we had a prayer group that met in the front of the school, at the flag pole, every single morning before classes. We also would have some prayer and Bible study classes after school in the cafeteria. No one, teachers, or students, ever said anything negative about it.

You are absolutely allowed to read a Bible in school, pray in school, etc.

You just can't force OTHER STUDENTS to read that Bible, or pray to Jesus or God in school.

These people are so delluded that the interpret not being able to force people to do things they don't want to do as being the same thing as denying them their individual liberties.

After reading this cartoon I'm reminded that Jimmy Swaggart gave a sermon where he specifically mentioned how evil peeping toms and masturbators were right before he got caught with a prostitute pleasuring himself while watching her dance.

Recalling another tract where the protagonist explains how his protesting is out of love towards all homosexuals and a desire to keep them from hell, it seems somewhat strange that now homosexuals are portrayed as evil conspirators. I guess it's hard to keep consistent when both claiming to love all people equally and gleefully describing how they're all going to hell.

Well, at least there's some good advice:

Oh, those evil men, always trying to make children gay.
