Just thought you'd all want to know.

CNN broke away from the Imus stupidity to bring us this tidbit.

Its official, all the major TV news outlets have become no better than afternoon tabloid news shows.

I get my wealthy socialite white trash mixed up: is Birkhead the one who's also humping Zsa Zsa? You know, anybody who'd bang Zsa Zsa AND ol' ANS has some REAL sick sex issues.

The $$ prize is the inheritance from the Marshall estate. That's tied up in court, but the SCOTUS recently handed a decision favorable to ANS's interests in the case (she has standing to make the claim for her share in the trial court). Presumably, the guardian of ANS's only heir would continue to pursue that in the child's interest. And that's a TON of money.

So you see, guardianship of the child IS the money prize, potentially. I don't mean to denigrate other reasons for Birkhead wanting custody, namely to raise his own flesh-and-blood child.

I'd think if he actually cared about is own flesh and blood child he wouldn't deposit his sperm in a public dumpster like ANS in the first place, yes?

He has to be the first daddy in history to take a paternity test to find out if he's not paying.:p

One massive stupidity for another, oh joy. Now I can sleep at night.

Are the others goings-on in the rest of the entire world really THAT slow lately? Or has CNN fallen that far?

So, is he going to sue Stern now, to get his hands on some of the money?

DR

I've been wondering--since I obviously have way too much time on my hands. Since ANS's will specifically disinherits any children except for her son, Daniel, will this baby actually be in line to inherit any of the lawsuit money? Providing of course, that ANS's estate beats the other guy's estate in the lawsuit?

Yep. Waaaaaaaaaay too much time on my hands.

Hey, I didn't claim that he's entirely rational. Just giving him the benefit of the doubt on how he feels about his child. I can afford it.

That will won't stand.

No and yes.

Birkhead was obviously the father all along. I can't tell what he's like behind the scenes but from what we see up front this guy is getting a bad rap. He was in a relationship with a woman for two years (whether he should've gotten into a relationship with ANS is another story) and the woman got pregnant with his kid and then got mad at him and left, seemingly to never let him see the kid. That is a bad thing to do to someone.

Then after the kid was born he went on TV to try to publicize it to get access to the kid but I don't know what other options he had at that point. ANS was much more powerful than him. And remember, this was before ANS died so he didn't know there'd be an estate to haggle over.

Then ANS died and he still was prevented from seeing his kid by some guy (Howard K. Stern) that likely knew he wasn't the father. That too is a bad thing to do to someone.

This whole thing is circus-y, that's for sure, but remember that in the end we have someone that had never been permitted to see his now six month (or so) old baby even though he wants to. He doesn't deserve that.

That's a great sentence!

Why will the will not stand? Are its legs sore? No, seriously, it looked pretty fishy to me too.

Heh. The provision about excluding unnamed children, whoever they may be, is something you might find in a man's will, not a woman's will. Women tend to know about the existence all their children (except ones yet to be born), while men may not. If H.K. Stern had anything to do with drafting that will, he needs to get a new line of work.
