I'm highly amused by this. The occupation government has a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. If they allow sharia to go forward, they're fostering an undemocratic regime. If they block it, they're blocking any illusion they're interested in making Iraq a democratic state.

End result: The US will be in Iraq for a long, long, LONG time.
