Sadly, as long as there are idiots on the internet there will be a Truth Movement. The best-case scenario is that they quarantine themselves within the Loose Change forums and stop it spreading.
I've been starting to think the same thing. Unless something REALLY BIG comes along I suspect the movement will die a slow death with some hardcore fans sticking it out until the day they die. When Bush leaves office I suspect another strong decline.
http://z10.invisionfree.com/Loose_Change_Forum/index.php?showtopic=636I am making this announcement as protection for my safety.
Russell, Merc, and Dylan all know my real name.
I will announce my real name tomorrow or Thursday after I am sure I am safe.
I have explosive eyewitness testimony that irrefutably establishes the flight path and proves the mechanical damage flight path/official story incorrect.
I have interviewed 8 eyewitness at the location where they saw the plane.
They go further back than Barton St and all the way up to the Pentagon.
Details will be forthcoming as the information is compiled appropriately.
If something happens to me you know why.
MERC's reply[aka: That One Dude]QUOTE Did any of the witnesses see the plane hit the Pentagon ?
What if they think they did? Does them saying "I saw the plane hit the building?" mean they actually saw the plane hit the building? No. Even if they did, is it possible that it didn't?
What do you personally think? Is it dead?
Well, I guess I get to be the lone voice of dissent. (And the lone optimist.)
Yes. I think it's dead.
The Trooth Movement is neither:
I submit my declaration of victory thread linked above as evidence, and an open invitation for any Trooth adherent to convince me otherwise.
- moving; we see the exact same arguments over and over again -- when was the last time you heard something new? Aside from space-based beam weapons and antimatter, that is
- growing; the rolls of the 9/11 Scholars for Truth, the ranks at Loose Change, not even oft-misconstrued polls show any growth
- nor reproducing; there is no cascade effect of protests, societies, conventions, "national debates," radio shows -- nothing
This in no way fulfils the scientific definition of "alive," thus it must be dead.
There will always be a fringe group of those who cling to outlandish theories with no basis in fact. The Flat Earthers are still with us. Somewhere there is probably a group embroiled in showing that the Spanish Inquisition was a hoax. This is just human nature. I am not impressed.
The Trooth Movement has already begun to resemble these quaint, fully mature and exhausted conspiracy theories. We saw their fitful attempt at gaining momentum and profitability on the 5th Anniversary, and it was pretty feeble. I see it all downhill from here.
