What, are you referring to this commercial that used to be on TV 30 years ago? The only reason why I brought it up is because I have no idea what this guy means by the question mark? If you had seen the commercial you probably wouldn't take offense to it, Okay? :)

I don't want to report the guy. It's no big deal. I just think it's a waste of space.

That's what I was wondering. Now I'm just wondering if metropolis_part_one knows the meaning of the word "nominated".
 
Maybe the word was supposed to be nominal, not "nominated" - ?
Some clarification would be nice; I thought I was the only one confused by the question.
 
Nominated as in 'the members nominated someone to argue from a theist perspective, and lifegazer was nominated'. I don't see what is wrong with asking this question.

You mean like a "designated theist"? Ye gods, no.

There are much better theistism representatives on the board. frisian (sp?) comes to mind. There are other's whose names entirely escape me at the moment (unlike frisian's who only partially escapes me)

edited to add: If anything, lifegazer probably holds the "favorite woo-woo" position, a position previously held by the likes of Franko, Jedi Knight, and the classic Aforce1.
 
He could have been nominated by atheists to present the theist position in such an embarrassing way as to cause moderates to lose respect for theists, much in the way !Xx+-Rational-+xX! has tried (with limited success) to do for the skeptical position. If this is the case, Lifegazer is doing a much better job than !Xx+-Rational-+xX!
 
Well, I guess it depends on how theists want to be portrayed (or, I suppose, how we want theists to be portrayed). If theists should be shown as unknowledgable rationalizers, I suppose lifegazer is our man.

Nothing wrong with asking, however without your further explanation, the question made no sense.

I don't think anyone is "nominated" to speak for any particular position or group on this board. We're all individuals (and you watch too much Monty Python if your first thought upon reading that was 'I'm not!') and we all speak solely for ourselves.
