I understood about the guy who could squeeze a pen and make the top pop off but then it sounded like he was making the top pop back on for his demonstration. He said he squeezed the pen and the cap would snap back on, not off. I can't picture this.

Then he shows a picture of a red thing and invites us to figure out how it works. How what works? What's it supposed to do? I just see a picture of a red thing, something like a rubber band sticking out one end and a stick with more red thing on the end. What's it supposed to do? Seeing it in action may help.

I don't know if was me or what but I read it several times and couldn't figure picture either the pen or the red snapper thing doing anything.

That confused me a bit, but then I figured out that he's squeezing a cap, not a pen. So, he holds the cap and pen so that when the cap goes flying, it hits the pen and snaps on. That's a lot of force, though.

It is a trick I was given as a child. I will explain how it works. The device has two parts; a large part that is there just to confuse the audience, and a smaller part that you can get to move. The way to do this is to squeeze it between your fingers. It is rather smooth so that it will then fly away as if by magic.

How the one with a square end will work I have no idea. Maybe the end can be compressed.

Or a magnet... but the direction would have to be changed somehow, to make it repel instead of attract when another user tries it. Just a thought.

That's for the square thingy, of course.
