I just finished reading a text titled The Consciousness Revolution authored by Ervin Laszlo, Stanislav Grof, and Peter Russell. The book, ‘The Consciousness Revolution’ is an essential guide to how our map of reality is changing in the midst of the global transformation going on in all parts of the world and in every sphere of life, in us and around us.

To me, a Consciousness Revolution is a significant shift in consciousness, similar to that of a paradigm shift. A Consciousness Revolution is a time in history where humanity actualizes our essence. A Consciousness Revolution is a point in time where humanity awakens globally.

Is humanity currently experiencing a consciousness revolution?
 
It sounds to me like the human tendency to consider whatever time period they are in as on the cusp of the most important time. I think that only in hindsight could we recognize if we are now experiencing such a revolution.
 
Please point to examples that demonstrate this, then we can discuss it.

What do you mean? What direction is it going in? If you say it's like a paradigm shift, what paradigm (or paradigm analogue) do you say is waning and which is waxing? Without that, there isn't really any way to determine if its so -- what do you look for?

Can you explain what this means, without using the word "consciousness" every two words?

What exactly is changing in every part of the world, do you mean telecommunication technology, and A.I.?

It is certainly becoming more mainstream to meditate.
 
It's often difficult to know when you are in the middle of a revolution. They are most-often recognized only in hindsight (and even then, they can be controversial). And, most often you are not in one.

That doesn't mean we're not in a revolution. It just means that one must have a certain degree of hubris to claim are currently in one at any given moment.

I wonder if a crude analogy would be helpful. The tiny individual amoeba that comprise a colony of a slime mold occasionally form into a super-organism through something analogous to our looming 'consciousness revolution', if you will. When added together, the individual amoeba form a simple network, creating a superior collective intelligence without the need for any kind of centralized command structure. The slime mold is then able to make complex decisions, including being able to solve mazes.

I think something sort of like that is in store for at least some of humanity, if we're lucky. If we want out of the insidious maze humanity is in.

It will be psychic in nature of course, and something like a super-Noosphere will be the result.
