Is Bill O'Reilly a sexual harrasser?

I don't like Bill O'Reilly, but I think he's telling the truth this time, I think that woman was just trying to extort money from him. Her story just doesn't add up. I mean, Bill keeps sexually harassing her, yet she keeps going to dinner with him? Why? Regardless, her made up story was pretty juicy, even if it is false.

So, why the hell did she keep working for him for that long? And go back to working for him after changing jobs?

And why, when O'Reilly called to have phone sex, did she not hang up the phone immediately? There were atleast 3 or 4 instances where O'Reilly called her, and each time she just stayed on the line and listened? That sounds like strange behavior from someone who was supposedly offended by what O'Reilly was saying. However, some of the passages in the lawsuit seemed like direct quotations, as if she had taped O'Reilly (reminds me of Linda Tripp). If that is the case, then this could get REALLY interesting...

Based on their personality, I'd say it's more believable that O'Reilly is a sexual harrasser than it is that Bill Clinton is.

Actually, I think maybe BillO went to catholic school... he has some major issues.

This may be a 'honey trap' sting, but if the lewd remarks were taped, O'Reilly has sure been stung. 'Live by the sword, die by the sword!'

Those defending the behaviour are missing the point. He was for most of the time Andrea Mackris' boss, just as Bill Clinton was Monica's boss.

If he's 'innocent', he certainly left himself wide open to accusations by his purported behaviour. I mean how many older, married, moralistic bosses would take a younger, pretty, single girl to dinner under pretense of 'business'? Or be found alone with her in a bedroom?

OK, don't answer that:)

O'Reilly took a long time to get married and seems to have enjoyed his rich, powerful, bachelor, Alpha male, 'one of the boys' lifestyle for some time. Looks like maybe he didn't quite give up these ways of thinking when he got married. So, the big issue will be hypocrisy.

If nothing else, if he's innocent, he will learn that just because people are accussed of things doesn't make them guilty.

Are audio taped records allowed into evidence in the US in cases like this? Maybe he can say the voice is not his, or has an alibi for the times of calls.

I don't like schadenfreude, but Bill is an extremely arrogant , self-righteous character with high political aspirations. We'll see if he survives this. Maybe "The O'Really Factor!" People in glass houses etc.

He will do just what Rush did, geared towards sex rather than drugs. I hope she was recording it, I hope O'Reilly gets humiliated, and I hope Franken writes another book.

Oreilly

Looks like a case of extortion to me, if they were asking 60 million dollars to stay quiet. And then file a sexual harassment case as soon as the extortion case is filed.

However, I have noticed that O'Reilly does seem to like stories revolving around sexual issues, etc. , and act lilke some moral authority. But that could be just because the public loves to hear about stories such as this because they are titillated by them.

But I have heard it said that preachers preach the hardest agaisnt their own vices. Maybe this is also true of news pundits.

Even though I know O'Reilly many times announces folks guilty before the trials are even over, I think we need to withold judgement in this case, until we see some evidence. You can pretty much spin any type of innocent behavior into anything you want. And false accusations of sexual harassment, rape, molestation, etc. are very common, and very easy to use.

How the heck can someone be "an unwilling participant" in phone sex? Three times? Hanging up isn't an option?

I met Bill Oreily once. He grabbed my ass........TWICE!!! I felt so dirty. It was my fault, I shouldnt have worn those dockers. I was asking for it...............*sob*

I don't believe it because I imagine phone sex with Bill O'Reilly to be

Bill: So what are you wearing?

other person: Right now, I...

Bill: (interupting) Shut up. Shut up. Shut up.

LOL!

"What are you wearing?"
"Virtually nothing..."
"Wait right there - this is the no spin zone. Either you are wearing nothing or you are wearing something. "

here's my completely biased, non-evidence-based (BO'Re doesn't worry about evidence so why should I?), anti-BO'Re reason to think he's guilty:

He cried politics. Sure he said is was a shakedown, etc. But he also said it was "political" and accused his accuser of being a major democratic donor (how big a donor could a mid-level producer be?). My point is that in order to quiet his followers who might be horrified at a moral slip or hubris, will stick with him so long as it is "political."

Remember when Michael Jackson complained that Sony and Tommy Molto (sp?) were racist at a black church?

BO'Re didn't really take on the charges or the factual allegations, he accused her of being a front for his liberal enemies.

Methinks me smells a rat....

Hanging up kind of defeats the purpose of recording it.

Either way, I find amusement in one who takes a moral stance only to be exposed for the carnal human animal that he is (we all are).

Welcome to this planet earth, Bill.

Well, that was fun (sort of). I just read through the filings associated with the suit. Pretty boring for the first six or seven pages, but it gets moving in the middle, and tails off at the end.

Could somebody have just made that stuff up from scratch? Seems unlikely, especially if she was stable enough to get and keep the job that she had. I wonder why she left CNN after such a brief stay.

As an aside I find Sean Hannity to be far worse than O'reilly. He's rude, unrelentingly partisan and not that knowledgeable about the issues IMHO. I find Hannity so distasteful that I just won't listen to him anymore. I occasionally enjoy O'reilly's show.
