Is Anderson Cooper a John Edward pawn now?

Looking for HD recording of Monday, Oct 17th "Anderson" show

Does anyone have an HD copy of the Monday, 17 Oct 2011, Anderson Show with 'psychic' John Edward? I would've recorded it, but didn't know John Edward was on.

If so, please private message me, or go to the 'Contact' page of my ParanormalStateIllustrated.com website and click the link for my e-mail address.

I called Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution asking how to get a copy of the show. I was given a phone number in New York, and left a message. I'm waiting to hear back from them.

But if you have a copy, I'd like to incorporate some of the material in a video. Use of segment(s) from the video would be allowed under U.S. Fair Use, so there wouldn't be any copyright infringement.

Thank you,

Is Anderson Cooper a John Edward pawn now?

Why so surprised? Anderson Cooper is a television entertainer. Like all TV personalities, his sole job is to keep people watching until the next commercial. The subject matter is irrelevant as long as it keeps people watching.

Anderson Cooper would lick a parrot while dancing the Macarena if that's what it took to get ratings. TV has always worked this way and always will. Attracting the most viewers, regardless of the content, is the purpose of TV.

People want to see John Edward do his scam act and Cooper gives it to them so he can sell more of his sponsors crap.

That's why it's called an 'idiot box'.

Hard to believe this is the same guy who did "Sylvia Browne: Dead Wrong" a few years ago, with Randi and our own RSL.

I certainly hope he revisits that when he gets a clue.

I had higher standards for him I guess. I would have ignored anything like this from Larry King, Nancy Grace or Rachel Madow. I rarely watch any certian personality on the news programs, but it was disappointing to see Cooper promoting an attention whore like Edwards.

Has Rachel Maddow promoted "psychics" on her show?

When I said "like this" I meant information or programming they had no reason to believe was true and aired only for ratings. I should have been more spedific.

Since my phone message to the 'Anderson' people requesting a copy of the John Edward segment was not returned within about 24 hours, I called back today at 2:31 PM, EST Wed., 19 Oct 2011.

I spoke with a woman who gave her title as "publicist." She said it would be a copyright infringement, even if I used only brief segments from the 'Anderson' show, on a video that would appear on YouTube. I mentioned my video(s) would be for educational, non-profit purposes. I though I'd be able to use short segments of the 'Anderson' show under U.S. Fair Use. She said they own the show.

The "publicist" said I'd have to submit an official request to their Clips & Licensing person to go through an approval process, to see if they'll approve my use of 'Anderson' show scenes.

Heck, I just want to use some 'Anderson' TV footage for a YouTube video. I'd like to present a fair, honest, and accurate video(s) about 'psychics' such as John Edward. I hope they'll let me use the video from the 'Anderson' show. After all, wouldn't Anderson Cooper see this as a good way of "keeping them honest?"

Like what?

Part of her show a while back was a hit piece on gun ownership where her guest said several things that were obviously untrue. Maddow just agreed and never said a single critical word about her guest's biased and uneducated statements.

It seems he no longer feels that way. Maybe it is just a handy catch phrase instead of words to live by?

"Keeping them Honest..." Anderson Cooper?

Here's a link from cnn.com added October 19, 2011:

Keeping them Honest: Candidate claims
Anderson Cooper is holding the GOP presidential candidates accountable and fact-checking statements made at the debate

I haven't seen the Monday, 17 Oct 2011 'Anderson' show with 'psychic' John Edward. Hopefully, I can purchase a copy through the 'Anderson' show since I didn't didn't record it because I didn't know it was going to be on TV.

I think it stinks that 'psychic' John Edward seemed to have been positively portrayed as having 'psychic' ability when there is no scientific evidence he has any such ability. I find this disgusting, disgraceful, and deceitful to give air time to a fraud such as John Edward.

Did Anderson Cooper present fact-checking statements of John Edward? Did Anderson reveal the strategy or tactics used by John Edward to (falsely) portray 'psychic' ability? If not, why should viewers believe Anderson Cooper is capable of "Keeping them Honest...?"

Why should viewers believe that CNN is "The most trusted name in news" if Anderson's personal endeavor, the 'Anderson' show, could wrongly lead viewers to believe what they see (like John Edward) as real or fact- when the reality is, people are being deceived.

I hope I can talk with Anderson Cooper to find some answers as to why a fraud like John Edward was on his show.

A definition of fraud from my computer's dictionary: "a person or thing intended to deceive others, typically by unjustifiably claiming or being credited with accomplishments or qualities." "wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain" John Edward fits that "fraud" description.

Personally, Anderson Cooper has never struck me as a particularly serious journalist. So him having foolishness on his talk show is not at all surprising.

I must say I feel the same. I actually find the idea that he's somehow so decent and beyond reproach to be laughable.
