When asked to name names of people the truth movement thinks were involved in 9/11, a frequent response is, "We can't tell you, that's why we need an investigation!"

A question - what the hell would this new investigation be doing? Going over the old evidence and coming to the same conclusion again? Or if there is evidence the truth movement has that suggests another party was involved, what is the evidence, and who does it implicate?

Or would the investigators just sit around and contemplate their navels?

Since there has been an investigation, then a good starting point would be for an entirely independent body to look at that investigation, and point out the flaws. The holes and inconstencies could form the basis of the new investigation.

The advantage of this approach is that the movement can instigate it themselves. They will need to hire some people with the relevant expertise, show them the documents, and publish the results. It wouldn't even cost very much.

I'm sure it will happen real soon now.

No, the investigation will go over the old evidence and come to a new conclusion. Otherwise it was obviously infiltrated by "them", and then we will need a newer, independanter investigation. We will continue this process of interpreting the evidence until we get the conclusion we want, and only then will we know we've had a truly independent investigation.

Anti, that Occam's quote in your sig is truly astounding! [/derail]
