…and other sciences.

Checkout The rediscovery Institute

The reDiscovery Institute is non-profit, non-partisan, public-policy think-tank located in Tacoma, Washington, with branches in Atlanta, Georgia and Fort Worth, Texas. The reDiscovery Institute fosters integration of science education with traditional Judeo-Christian principles of free market, limited government, morality, faith, property, obedience and anti-intellectualism.

Our primary focus is to extend and promote Design Theories, which have been so successful in Biology, to the fields of Chemistry, Astronomy, Physics and Geology. Our goals are to Teach the Controversies, each and every one of them. The reDiscovery Institute produces articles and studies on how to better educate children at all levels, and on how to re-educate certain adults (you know who you are). The reDiscovery Institute supports Fellows, which gullible and lazy journalists present to the public as credible scientists. The efforts of reDiscovery Institute Fellows are crucially abetted by the Institute's members, board and an ultra-conservative, ultra-rich, California savings and loan heir who believes that the American democracy should be replaced with biblical theocracy.

The reDiscovery Institute publishes books, reports and articles, and participates in conferences and debates. We provide material and support to school boards, museums, and theaters across America, to help establish best practices in science education. We are consultants to Fox News Network. The reDiscovery Institute urges adherence to John Phillipson's "Ice pick Gambit", which states that "one does not mention the Book of Genesis in the design debate because one does not want to sound like blithering idiot."

Hilarious site. Check out their revised periodic table:

Especially, check out their ”Take Action” page. Click on the links, copy their pro-forma emails, and send emails to a number of creationist idiots.

So why aren't they attacking Lavoisier as an atheist? After all, his theory of chemical (and it's just a theory) elements "proved" that the Platonic elements were just a myth by making it all up as he went along, so he could say there's no god in chemistry...

The Earth is at the center of the universe and the heavens go round above! Retrograde motion proves it!

Excuse me, but this is spoof, right?

I mean, look at the bottom part of the illustration. "Kansas - as dumb as you think." And "earth - air - fire - water". Come on, where's your sense of humour?

Rolfe.

He does say it is a "Hilarious site". Maybe it should have been posted in humor, but I find it appropriate.

As soon as I saw "they added 5 elements, when will it stop?" and "They added two rows" I knew something was up. Then I actually read the text. "Gullible reporters" gave it away.

Where ever the unknown lives, there be God, there be aliens, there be Dragons.

2. THE FIRST LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS. Why don't textbooks admit the truth about energy? Whenever the first law gets broken, new forms of energy are invented to preserve the appearance of conservation of energy.

3. THE SECOND LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS. If this phony law doesn't apply to one atom, how can it apply to lots of atoms?

4. THE THIRD LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS. Who ever uses this one?

5. QUANTUM MECHANICS. For anything interesting it is impossible to find an exact solution to the Schrodinger equation, so isn't quantum mechanics just a lot of useless guessing?

6. MORE QUANTUM MECHANICS. Do you really understand the Schrodinger equation? (This one always catches them because, even though some people pretend to, no living human being understands the Schrodinger equation.)

The 'Ten Questions' cracked me up...but the link to '10 Questions About Evolution' I thought was also a joke at first, but sadly, was not.

Yes, its a spoof. Not a very subtle one, so I dont think its the type to catch on in ID circles.

Question #6 is dead on.

"If you think you understand quantum mechanics, you don't understand quantum mechanics" - Richard Feynman

One of the things that makes this such a great spoof is the insider humor.

Yes, it is a spoof - I thought it was obvious.

For example, their Take Action page. Prepared emails to send to some specific creationists (with their email addresses).

So is Question #2. It also extends to matter. Black holes and dark matter. Phooey.

:D <------ too bad I don't know how to make this bigger.
