Most ideas about souls of the dead "staying in this world", imply, that those, who "stay" in this world to haunt people, move furniture, etc. do so, because there is some important thing they want to happen before they can rest in peace, e.g. their murderer caught, their loved ones cared for.
Thinking about this, i realized, that when i die and realize i'm not gone, there is something, that is so important for me, that it would keep me from resting in peace - providing irrefutable evidence of existing after dying to the world.
Do others feel the same?
Could we conclude from this, that souls staying due to finishing some important task is disproven, when all yes voters, have died, but didn't appear anywhere?
