Just in case you may have thought driving around in a Smart Car was dangerous, here's something that I wouldn't want to be in if I got hit by one ... a Smart Car, that is.
Anyone seen this video of Jeremy Clarkeson in a Peel P50?
I've seen it before, but only in driveways, never on a road.

It's called a Cozy Coupe.
I can imagine. But mixing it up in traffic with diesel-sucking Dodge Ram "dualies" would be rather intimidating.
Would you drive it on the New Jersey Turnpike? Or the GWB, LIE, BQE, the Belt, Cross Bronx???
Interesting. I suppose on the streets of Hanoi where 90% of the traffic is scooters this is a viable alternative. It would be the Hummer of Hanoi. It's not exactly a golf cart, although I admit sure looks like one. It has a gasoline engine (holds 7 litres of fuel) and is claimed to keep up with traffic ... so I'm assuming it's meant to be driven along with other cars.
Here's the dope on it ...

The Smart fortwo is actually pretty crashworthy (according to crash tests). It's a heavy bugger considering its size... 1600 pounds.
ETA: We had one. I spent about 3 hours a day commuting in it. It's very comfortable to ride in.
