If Only All Child Abusers Were So Stupid

Wow!

This reminds me of a case that recently occurred in my area where a fellow got drunk and killed someone in a car wreck. Anyway, after he admitted what he did and apologized profusely, the judge granted him bail provided that he would stop drinking and that he would stop driving until his case was decided. So what did this idiot do?

Within two days of agreeing to these conditions, he bragged on Facebook about driving down to the liquor store and getting totally drunk. He even posted photos of himself drinking about how he was so much smarter than the courts because he lied to them and got away with it.

Well, within two days of these posts (the family of the man he killed was monitoring his Facebook account), he was back before the same court that granted his bail and that judge promptly revoked his bail and kept him in jail until his trial.

Furthermore, when this guy was sentenced, the once again apologized for killing that guy, but the judge was not impressed and he cited what this fellow did before after his first apology.

Ugh! It sure is a good thing that most criminals are so very stupid.

There seems to be a disconnect of some sort going on in regards to Facebook and similar social-media sites.
Our students are for the most part seriously bright and computer savvy. Yet there was a fad a couple of semesters ago for posting pictures of your driver's license on Facebook. Name, address, social security number...
As well, several of our kids have been taken in by Paypall "phishing" schemes and had their bank accounts emptied...
My step-grandson recently got onto one of the local police departments, and I have several times cautioned him about statements he's made on Facebook.
Defense attorneys will mine these sites for inflammatory or prejudicial comments.

The Israeli army ran an awareness campaign some time ago.

Apparently, friending Hamas members and yapping about tomorrows attack plans is a bit counter-productive in military terms.

The first thing I think of anymore when I see news items about Facebook is hacking. I am not defending the guy, but this type of post could show up on your own page if you don't delete history on a public computer.

The police should try to match the background of the photo with the Accused's home to prove it was his own post.

young South Side father appears in court today, charged with battery after posting a Facebook photo of his 22-month-old daughter bound and gagged, according to police.

Andre Curry was arrested Tuesday afternoon, hours after Chicago police and state welfare officials opened an investigation.

...Police said the 21-year-old Applebee's waiter used painter's tape to bind and gag his daughter. It wasn't clear exactly when the picture was taken.

Curry, of the 6100 block of South Racine Avenue, was charged with aggravated domestic battery, police said.

61st and Racine, I do a lot of work in that area. One of the most violent and dangerous neighborhoods in Chicago. Constant gang warfare. There's a police station literally right across the street from where the perp lives, last year a cop was shot and killed by a crazy person in the parking lot of that police station as he went to his car after his shift was over. The weekend before last a guy was shot on the street in the 6300 block of Racine, ran a few blocks to the front porch of a house where he collapsed. Police then found another body inside the house the victim ran to.

It's practically child abuse just raising a kid in that neighborhood. :(

A few years ago, I reconnected with an old friend from high school. I told him he was really hard to find and it would have been a lot easier if he just created a myspace account (it was that long ago). He laughed and told me that he is a fraud investigator. Myspace was a primary means for gathering evidence.

I have a relative who's a teacher and the stuff she posts sometimes makes me cringe. It's nothing terrible but she will comment on things the administration makes her do and occasionally something a student has done. She doesn't mention names, but I'm afraid she's going to slip someday and post "Johnny Smith is the spawn of Satan." It may be true, but it's not advisable to post it.

I got a feeling that the photo is a fake. Try to hold your arms the way the girl is. I find it very hard to do so. Also the fact that he is not under arrest also gives another clue that it is not an open and shut case.

You wouldn't find it so "hard to do so" if your arms were duct taped into that position.

Also the fact that he is not under arrest also gives another clue that it is not an open and shut case.

Where are you getting the information that he is not under arrest? He was arrested on Tuesday and appeared in court today, according to the links posted above.

History is fine, as long as you remember to log out of Facebook. What can they do with the history if the don't have your password?

Please quote properly.

The arms were taped together. However when I put my arms together like that they want to be in the vertical position. Put your arms together like they are in the photo and see if you can move them into a comfortable position. You may find your arms are not in the position as per the photo. That could be because I am older than the person in the photo.

Detectives have questioned Curry, who has not been placed under arrest as of midday Tuesday, Sullivan said, declining further comment.

That is a couple of ifs. Some people are stupid. Stupid enough not to log off from Facebook from a public computer. Or almost as bad do not protect their computer at work when they are not at their desks.

So when you sit down at such a computer in a bad mood do not do the following
1. Check history. Find they have used Facebook recently.
2. Go to Facebook. Find they have not logged off properly or maybe the browser fills in the username and password for you.
3. Put your memory stick in the computer
4. Put onto Facebook with a suitable comment a photo, from your memory stick, showing what an idiot that person is.
5. Run. Very fast.

That is one possibility if the person is innocent. If you ever use a public computer you should remember that someone else may attempt to do this to you and take precautions against this.

He is under arrest, see my last post.

It's possible that somebody did this to him. Possible, but not likely. I wonder why you just assumed that the photo is fake.
