Ian Wishart is a New Zealand journalist and Christian fundy, he also is a prolific author with somewhat of an ego - and in his most recent book the 'Divinity Code' he takes on Richard Dawkins position.

Have a read of his abstract here http://www.investigatemagazine.com/divcodepreview.pdf

The good buggers at Silly Beliefs have previously hammered Wishart before the publication of this book at http://www.sillybeliefs.com/wishart.html

I thought I would throw this out there as he is one of the few authors I have encountered who has written a book to directly challenge Dawkins.

I read all 14 pages of the abstract. You might warn us first, before linking almost 800k from New Zealand...

I started drifting off about when he used Plato's Atlantis and apparent knowledge of the new world (width of Atlantic Ocean) as an examples of why science does not know everything. Sillybeliefs seems like a fitting resting place.

May be a personal bias, but I'm getting a little tired of ex-journalists who for some reason think they are experts at critical thinking and "used to be atheists". They have now have seen the supposed light and truth of fundy Christianity. He is at least as coherent as Lee Strobel, which is not a complement. Their arguments are not wrong because they are stupid, but it surely must be helping.

I am working my way through Dawkin's book 'The God Delusion'. I think this is actually a good book for believers to be familiar with. I suspect that there will be several intelligent theological objections to some but not all of his reasoning and conclusions.

This however, will not be one of them.
