In this argument with a "no-planer", Dylan is actually using logic and common sense to debate this whack-job...

So why doesn't Dylan use common sense in every debate, you may ask?

Didn't have to even click the video to realize i had seen it before. But if im not mistaken, Dylan is visiting no planer territory again. Specifically Shanksville and maybe even the Pentagon.

It's interesting to note that many of the no-planers and no-jews people are a part of the Replacing-bowel-with-Truth Movement.

It's been a while but I remember some no-planer challenging Dylan with this very issue during one of Dylan's radio interviews. Dylan was talking about how crazy the no plane at the WTC theories were and the caller basically asked Dylan why it was any more crazy than him saying there was no plane at the Pentagon.

One of the few times any no-planers have made any sense.

Yea you gotta love when the guy suggested a "fly-by" at the WTC and how they laughed at that, yet the pentagon CIT boys talk about a "fly-over" which only differs from a "fly-by" because the pentagon wasnt that high.
 
I've said it before and I'll say it again: all of the MIHOP truthers are no-planers at heart. Some are just more honest about it. When you get right down to it, the planes are highly inconvenient for the Truthers, for the simple reason that while we can easily imagine 19 pissed-off Muslims hijacking planes and committing suicide by flying them into three buildings and the ground, we cannot imagine US airline pilots doing so. And so the Truthers invent elaborate schemes to get around this weakness; the planes were flown via remote control. Or they were landed at air force bases and replaced with drones. Or the pilots were gassed and the planes flown by autopilot into the targets. Or whatever.

So I always reject the idea that there are Truthers who are more rational on this point than others. As I often say, it's like the guy dressed up as Washington at the funny farm telling you that Napoleon over there is crazy.

Well, he IS crazy. Just look at him over there acting all imperial and such. hell, he was barely a spark in his father's eye when I was crossing the Delaware in the freezing cold!
 
This reminds me of a Jones v Fetzer debate where Jones disproves the towers turning to dust for Fetzer and Fetzer just hand waves it away.

It would be awesome if in the middle of one of these Truther v Truther debates one of them suddenly realizes that all the Truther claims are staggeringly dumb in the middle of the debate.

Agreed.

However I find it very hard to accept that the average truther actually believes the stuff. I am sure that the leading exponents of "Troof" - Gage, Jones etc, are fully aware of the nonsense and are simply "milking" the notoriety/money.

And look at the most common "apparent troofers" posting here. Surely most are merely pulling the strings and the others of us are feeding their game by responding.

I don't understand what drives them to do it but it must require a special dedication to keep consistently repeating the empty statements, non sequiturs and other forms of illogical commentry.

I have tried it a couple of times in deliberate parody but I find it harder to write nonsense than to put rational valid engineering arguments.
 
I think many truthers have a legitimate skill when it comes to arguing untenable positions indefinitely. In the real world people would just ignore them, rendering their techniques moot. But here, hell this forum is a source of entertainment for me. I have little relevant expertise for the most part, so I can't participate in the more technical discussions (which I find fascinating, by the way). All I have is responding to those posters whom responding to is exactly what they want.

It is, however, what it is.
