So a national news poll got a hold of me tonight to ask my opinions on health care.

"If a Republican Congress repealed healthcare reform what two words would you use to describe it?"

Disgusted. Betrayed.

"Do you think congress should focus on providing healthcare to all citizens or on lowering the cost of healthcare?"

Doing one will cause the other.

"Did you vote for Obama?"

Yes.

"Would you vote for Obama again?"

Yes.

"Are you currently insured?'

No.

"Would eliminating disqualification based on pre-existing conditions help you, not help or hurt you or hurt you?'

Help me. Greatly.

"Do you strongly support, somewhat support, somewhat oppose or strongly oppose the Tea Party?"

Strongly oppose.

"If you had to describe your thoughts on healthcare what would they be?"

Our current system is the worst of both worlds: all the exclusion of private health insurance but all the tax burden of a universal system. We need to quickly transition to a universal system like all civilized societies do.

Then followed questions about household income, political party affiliation, whether I'm in a labor union or if anyone in my house works in the healthcare field.

Oh and even though I only somewhat think Obama is doing an okay job I gave him high marks because **** those that are trying to sabotage everything he does.

Well, let's see if my answers change anything in the polls.

Probably not.

Oh I was truthful. I think Obama has tried to get good things done. I blame the idiots that sabotage him for those failures.

That's how it seems to me from this side of the pond. Opposition parties are supposed to oppose government policies that they disagree with, but they should also support the government to get good stuff done rather than just saying no to everything.
