I'm no fan of Chavez, but I have watched family members die from cancer and while I admire his optimism, I would expect that at the very least, he will be unable to continue his duties for too much longer.
While Chavez remained in Cuba recovering from surgery that removed a cancerous tumor, he sought to assure his supporters that he remains in charge and expects to fully recover.
