Apparently, this week it's Homeopathy Awareness Week here in Britain. I'm certainly going to be playing my part - what are you doing to increase the public's knowledge of homeopathy? I might even mix up some homeopathic dilutions of my own - I won't get through so many soft drinks that way. (One 330ml can will last for about seven lifetimes)

Crapula. I was sincerely hoping it was going to be like "Cancer Awareness Week" or "Jaqueov Kwahkz Awareness Week" while fully knowing it wasn't going to be.

How the heck do they get an awareness week? I do hope people are learning it is ridiculous, it's the only way to be truly aware.

This would be a good week to stage a mass "suicide" like those in Belgium did. Although I think that may not be the kind of awareness homeopaths like.

What would happen if all over the UK, skeptics walked into their local TV station's news area with several bottles of homeopathic meds and announced to the programming folks they were going to kill themselves right there on TV with a massive homeopathic OD and you can cover it live on the 6:00 news if you like?

Probably send the ratings through the roof...

The Society of Homeopaths has some pointers as to where you might find homeopaths this week:
Homeopaths across the UK will be visiting the high street near you during Homeopathy Awareness Week. Our members will be on hand to show you how this effective and gentle system of medicine can help you take control of your health. Participating stores are Holland and Barrett as well as independent health shops and chemists.
They also have some rather depressing but not surprising information about the NHS and a nice link with astrology:
Homeopathy Awareness Week is now in its sixth year and a firm fixture in the NHS Health Events calendar. This years’ theme is ‘Mars & Venus - men, women and homeopathy.' Members of the Society of Homeopaths will be demonstrating the value of homeopathic treatment for a range of complaints that men and women suffer, in a nationwide in-store awareness-raising initiative, sponsored by Nelsons.
I would be very interested to see their demonstations of the value of homeopathy, which it appears can be shown while you wait.
