Dean Cottons up to Southern Voters

``We have got to stop having our elections in the South based on race, guns, God and gays, and start having them about jobs, and health insurance, and foreign policy that's consistent with American values.''

"Race, guns, God and gays"...There's the right wing strategy in a nutshell. I don't know whether he can win, since he actually says what he's thinking and means what he says, but I keep liking this guy more and more.

Exactly, the more I hear from him the more I like.

One problem is that many people in the South hate gays and minorities, and love God and guns more than money.

I dont think people in the south subscribe to Dean's nanny state politics. Race and guns wouldnt be an issue if the left didnt try to impose racist and unconstitutional policies.

How, Tony, did you rise to the rank of "Master Poster" when you can't tell your right from your left?

I agree, southern elections are tainted by race. Most southern states have a huge numbers of minority voters in their voting districts. In fact, in my district, fair skinned peoples are in the minority.

And the race problem is bad. Blacks just won't vote for a white person who runs against a black person. Not only that, the NAACP sends buses and picks up blacks from the housing proejcts and give them voting guides and send them to the voting booths without a clue. This "voting slavery" is truely sickening.

So yes, there are bad race issues in southern elections and I can't wait to hear _specific_ ideas from Dean about how to fix the rampant anti-white attitudes.

Address the issue.

So Dean, a supporter of the NRA and advocate of states rights when it comes to gun control, who says that he wants to work with everyone from blacks to rebel flag waving whites, who has admitted he smokes pot and is liberal on the marijuana issue, who was the first man to allow gays to marry if they want to, is being the nanny?

Where the heck do you get that?

He's one of the biggest social libertarians that has seriously run for president in America in decades.

It's not just race, but the God thing, too, is very organized. The churches send out their own busses and voting guides.

Right, and somehow the right has taken religion for it's own. Every relgious person seems to on the right, but that's not true. But the politically active ones are.

Yes indeed! I think the bussing of people to voting booths has to stop, period.
