Looks like Richard Reeves has been channelling the JREF Politics forum.

"..."I would never vote for that Edwards. I can't stand that smiling all the time."
"Yeah. Well, I can't stand Cheney never smiling. There's something wrong with him."
"I hate rich people," said someone who had just read Edwards was worth something like $50 million. (Of course, all four of the national candidates have millions of their own.) But the guy next to him, holding a shovel, said, "Better than Bush and Cheney. They hate poor people."...
..."It's rich Republicans who keep our kids out of Yale and those other big schools." A better-off Republican, graduate of one of those schools, growls about affirmative action, saying: "It's stupid liberals keeping my kid out of Harvard to meet some Washington quota."
"Those people don't believe in God," said a man I know of Republicans. But a schoolteacher interrupted to say: "Those people in the White House now think they're talking to God personally -- and we've got to get them out of there before it's too late."
"They're going to let the corporations take our pensions and take away our health coverage" is an attack on Bush-Cheney. The response is: "Well, the Democrats are going to take away everything in estate taxes if they get back in."
My favorite overheard line, this one in New York City, of course, went like this: "I'll tell you about that Bush-Cheney: They love Israel and hate Jews."
"Yeah," said the other guy. "The damn Democrats love Jews and hate Israel." ..."
