Fairy Tales?

From the title, I would have sworn this would be another Jack Chick gay bashing tract. I was "pleasantly" surprised that it was just an anti-Santa Claus/Easter Bunny/Tooth Fairy tract.

(see if you can spot the subtle D&D reference!)

eta: yes, I posted this on the wrong board. It should have been in R&P. Mods, a little help?
eta2: a class act, those mods.

This one has got to be a parody.

The entire first half basically sets up the premise that none of the tooth fairy, Santa, or the Easter bunny are real, and therefore neither is Jesus.

Then the second half just starts asserting Jesus is real, no really!

The young man goes to his death refusing to believe in Jesus because, why should he? Those other three were not true, so why should Jesus?

But why should Jesus be true? The tract does not address it, merely asserts it.

I thought god was supposed to be omnipotent...

At the strip god says "I did everything I could do for you"! But the guy still receives the "depart from me..." line.

God will make Jack Chick will pay for this?

I went through it twice (gee, thanks, Jack Chick is not a favorite) and missed the D & D reference. :( Not going through it again.

"It was just a fantasy game!"

I just find the comic funny. Kids who believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny grow up to be homicidal maniacs? Well, dang...That's an awful lot of homicidal maniacs out there.

I enjoyed the collage of the wicked
From what I could tell, the evil people in this world are

1.) terrorist jihadists
2.) chubby white S&M guys
3.) communist chinese
4.) witches ???
5.) unattractive ACLU librarians
6.) archeologists

good thing i'm none of those... whew!

What do you mean? It provides evidence, and even references.

Well, quoting other assertions is rather weak evidence. I should note that the child, getting money for his tooth, thus has far stronger evidence for the Tooth Fairy's existence than any religious person has ever had for God.

Is it just me or does this one seem to have more of a Robert Crumb quality to the drawings? And that guy on the cover is unquestionably Tinker Galoot from Ren & Stimpy.

Jack Chick is a very, very, VERY sick man.

I can't resist.

2. Arguing in a circle: If you have already assumed in your premise what you are going to state in your conclusion, then you have ended where you began and proven nothing.

If you end where you began, you got nowhere.

Examples:
#1 Proving Allah by the Qur'an and then proving the Qur'an by Allah.
#2 Proving Muhammad by the Qur'an and then proving the Qur'an by Muhammad.
#3 Proving Islam by the Qur'an and then proving the Qur'an by Islam.

Now try it this way.

Examples:
#1 Proving God by the Bible and then proving the Bible by God.
#2 Proving Jesus by the Bible and then proving the Bible by Jesus.
#3 Proving Christianity by the Bible and then proving the Bible by Christianity.

See? It's fun on a bun!

No, he doesn't. But he is a college science professor, the evilest of the evil.
I guess your right. I am the most evil. http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0055/0055_01.asp

Well, except for the fact that I teach engineering and not science or evolution... Whew, dodged another bullet.

Opps, I forgot, I've used Kleinman's ramblings in my Thermo class as examples of rambling nonsense disguised as science.
