I obviously don't do enough polls, this is my second attempt.

I'm just kind of curious about how people are voting and what effect Bush's religion has on them.

Being evangelical and born again implies a literal interpretation of the bible.

By pandering, I mean that he is not that religious, but is trying to get votes by pretending to seem more religious than he is.

By I am voting, I didn't mean I am voting for him. I probably already shot the poll to crap. I just wanted to seperate the important opinions from those that weren't.

I'm voting (not for Bush), and I say he's pandering.

Of those who chose that he is a evangelical born again, that he believe the bible is the literal truth, is anyone well read enough to tell me if in fact the bible has a couple of requirements for the second coming of christ? Do the jews have to be in israel, and does there have to be a big war in the middle east?

I'm of the belief that he really does believe the bible is the literal truth. There is the possibility that he will keep fighting in the middle east until Jesus walks out. On the one hand, I find it hard to believe. On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if a evangelical born again person would believe something like that. The whole scenario frightens me.
