AN INTERNET video showing men in Pakistani military uniforms executing six young men in civilian clothes has heightened concerns about unlawful killings by Pakistani soldiers supported by the United States.

The 5½-minute video, which shows the killing of the men - some whom appear to be teenagers, blindfolded, with their hands bound behind their backs - has been condemned as a fake by the Pakistani military.

But US officials, who did not want to be identified, said it appeared to be credible.

I dont see much good coming out of any of this.

What worries me isn't so much what happens in the next 5 years, but the legacy of these conflicts spilling out over generations.

We have only to look at a place like Israel/Palestine to see where it could potentially lead. Blood spilled today spills for decades in the minds of those affected.

It's not graphic as such, partly due to the terrible phonecam quality - although the groans of the dying aren't pleasant to listen to.

A group of men are lined up and then lit up with a fusilade of automatic fire. After taking their time to reload, one soldier walks over and executes the two or three still conscious.

It's all over Youtube at the moment.

Depends if and how things escalate. If the Pakistani millitry feels sufficantly threatened there won't be any affected minds left in a decade.
